Proctocolitis is a general term for inflammation of the rectum and colon.[1]
Etiology
Common etiologic agents of proctocolitis include Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, HSV, and Campylobacter species.
Treatment
Ceftriaxone and doxycycline.
