Linck, 1790The smooth-hounds are a genus, Mustelus, of sharks in the family Triakidae. The name of the genus comes from the Latin mustela meaning weasel.[2]
A smooth-hound can grow up to 5 ft. 3 in. (159 cm) long and weigh more than 29 lb (13 kg).[3]
