Phillipps, 1932The spotted estuary smooth-hound, Mustelus lenticulatus, is a houndshark of the family Triakidae, found on the continental shelves and in estuaries around southern Australia and New Zealand. Its length is up to 125 cm (male) and 151 cm (female).
Also known as the Rig Shark and, in New Zealand, where it is commercially fished, it is a common fish served in fish and chip shops where it is known as lemonfish.
