"Apristurus albisoma", is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western Pacific from southern New Caledonia, and slopes of the seamounts of the Norfolk and Lord Howe ridges, from depths of between 935 and 1,565 m. Its length is up to 60 cm. The little-known "Apristurus albisoma" has a whitish body and small eyes. The second dorsal fin axil is before the anal fin axil. The upper labial furrows are equal to or shorter than the lower. The tricuspid dermal denticles overlap.

Reproduction is oviparous.
