The Pacific sharpnose shark, "Rhizoprionodon longurio", is a requiem shark of the family Carcharhinidae, found in the subtropical waters of the eastern Pacific Ocean between latitudes 33° N and 16° S, from the surface to 27 m. Its length is up to about 1.1 m.

The Pacific sharpnose shark is found on the continental shelves, more commonly in the littoral zone. It is viviparous, with size at birth 33 to 34 cm. It is utilized fresh or frozen for human consumption and also for fishmeal.
