Its length is up to about 1 m.The spadenose shark forms large schools, and feeds on small bony fishes,
shrimp s andcuttlefish . It isviviparous . It is utilized fresh for human consumption, processed into fishmeal and used as bait for other sharks and bony fishes.Coloration is bronze grey above, white below, with fins sometimes darker than body - there are no conspicuous markings.
