The Iceland catshark, "Apristurus laurussonii", is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western Atlantic from Massachusetts, Delaware, the northern Gulf of Mexico, and the eastern Atlantic from Iceland, southwestern Ireland, the Canary Islands and Madeira, between latitudes 67° N and 11° N. Its length is up to 68 cm.

The Iceland catshark is fairly common on the upper continental slopes, usually over mud or other soft sea bottoms.

Reproduction is oviparous.
