The smalleye hammerhead or golden hammerhead "Sphyrna tudes" is a small subtropical hammerhead shark found in the southwest Atlantic from Venezuela to Uruguay, in the Mediterranean Sea and in the eastern Pacific.

It is a dark yellowish-brown color which have given it the name golden hammerhead. It is found to at least a depth of 40 m. It is a small shark, with a maximum size of about 4 feet (1.22 m) and a weight of 20 pounds (9 kg).
