Heemstra, 1997The gulf smooth-hound, Mustelus sinusmexicanus, is a houndshark of the family Triakidae, found on the continental shelves of the tropical western central Atlantic, at depths of between 20 and 250 m. Its length is up to 83 cm.
Reproduction is Ovoviviparous.
