It was built about 1791 and is a 2 1⁄2-story, rectangular, gable-roofed heavy timber frame building. It rests upon a fieldstone foundation. There is a 2-story, shed roof addition to the rear. It features an ornate, bracketed, raised porch along the front facade added about 1880. The building exhibits a number of vernacular Federal details.[2]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.[1]
