It is a barn-like, rectangular building built in 1916. It is framed of heavy timbers and covered by an asphalt shingle clad gambrel roof. The hall is sheathed with wide planks nailed directly to the framing timbers. It was built as part of the arts community known as the Maverick Colony.[2]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.[1]
