Maverick Aviation Group is a helicopter and airplane tour company that was founded in December 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada by Greg and Brenda Rochna.

Equipment

When Maverick Aviation Group began in 1995, they had two aircraft. As of September 2011, they have two Beechcraft 1900D airplanes and 32 ECO-Star helicopters. The ECO-Star helicopters used by Maverick Aviation Group feature front-facing, upgraded leather, theater-style seating providing direct window views through wraparound glass and quiet technology. Maverick Aviation Group further enhanced their equipment by adding a multi-camera sky-cam video system that records every flight.

Maverick Aviation Group headquarters are located at 6075 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, Nevada - right on the Vegas Strip.

Acquisitions/subsidiaries

  • 1996 - created a tour division, Maverick Helicopters
  • February 2005 - acquired AirStar Helicopter
  • October 2008 - created a tour division, Maverick Airlines. Maverick Airlines is based at the Henderson Executive Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is less than 15 miles from the Strip. Their fleet is two Beechcraft 1900D ExecLiner airplanes, which seat 19 passengers.
  • 2008 - created a tour division, Mustang Helicopters

Safety awards

  • Earned the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Operator Safety Award. The HAI Operator Safety Award is presented to companies that meet strict safety guidelines and for safe operations in the previous year.

  • Named 2011 SNHCA Choice Award winner for Best Tour Company in Las Vegas by the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association (SNHCA). The association is honoring Maverick for its tours of Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon and for making a positive impression upon concierge throughout the city.[1]
