It includes 12 contributing buildings. They are residential structures representative of the Late Victorian and turn of the 20th century revival styles. They were built between 1854 and 1926 and developed as a middle-class suburban community. The earliest dwelling is the Smith-Collins House at 323 Palisades Avenue. It was built in 1854 and extensively remodeled in 1875 in a High Victorian Gothic style. Most of the remaining dwellings were built after 1900.[2]
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.[1]
