During this period, the newspaper grew to national influence covering African-American issues.[5] The midblock rowhouse is located at 2293 Seventh Avenue (Adam Clayton Powell Jr Avenue), Manhattan, New York City, New York.
It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1976.[4][6][7]
