Doddavaram is located in the Maddipadu Mandal of Prakasam District in Andhra Pradesh, India.[1] It is said that this village was known as Veera Narasimha Puri Agraharam during the reign of Addanki rulers.

The village gave birth to many artists. The most famous among these is Banumati, a noted film actress, director, music director, singer, and songwriter.
