Rajam or Razam is a census town, municipality and mandal headquarters in Srikakulam district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Geography

Rajam is located at 18.28N 83.40E. [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/2/Razam.html Falling Rain Genomics.Razam] ] It has an average elevation of 41 meters (137 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Rajam had a population of 23,258. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Rajam has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 58%. In Rajam, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
