ItalyMiss Universe 1986, the 35th Miss Universe pageant, was held at ATLAPA Convention Center, Panama City, Panama on July 21, 1986. 22-year-old Bárbara Palacios Teyde of Venezuela was crowned as Miss Universe 1986 by the outgoing titleholder, Deborah Carthy-Deu of Puerto Rico. Seventy-seven contestants competed in the 1986 Miss Universe Pageant.
