Background

On July 31, 2008, while promoting the album in Asia, the group announced that a tour in support of the album would begin in early 2009, visiting the Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. Dates were announced following the album's release.

It was later confirmed on E! News at the opening of the new Pussycat Doll Lounge by Robin Antin, the group's founder, that the tour would begin in Europe in late January 2009, and then visit Asia and Australia in April 2009, before finishing up in the U.S. at the end of the Summer. This was slightly changed later. Antin also confirmed that the North American trek would be a co-headlined tour with another major act, similar to the groups 2005 tour with The Black Eyed Peas, 2006 tour with Rihanna and 2007 when they opened the Back to Basics Tour with Christina Aguilera. For the North American leg they toured as the opening act for Britney Spears on the first leg of her The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour.

On August 28, 2008 Ne-Yo confirmed on UK radio station 95.8 Capital FM that he would be touring with the group throughout 2009 in support of his latest album Year of the Gentleman. He said that the tour was going to be called "Dolls & Gentlemen: An Evening with Ne-Yo and the Pussycat Dolls", but that this wasn't confirmed and in the end proved untrue. He also went on to explain that the show would feature sets from both acts, but that they 'would share the stage at some points too'. Tickets went on sale after both acts release their albums. He stated the tour would kick off in January and that it would visit London, Paris, Amsterdam and other European cities.

The tour began on the January 18, 2009 in Aberdeen, Scotland. After touring Europe, on March 3, they begin their North American leg opening for Britney Spears in The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour. Following the May 3 show in Uncasville they resumed their solo tour in Oceania. This was the groups last tour as a group before all members eventually disbanded.

Additional Notes

  • From January 18, 2009 the black outfits worn in the beginning of the show, were replaced by graffiti top style and check shorts/skirts. During the first costume change, they added only corsets.
  • "Love The Way You Love Me" was performed only in the first show in Aberdeen. They later canceled it and made it an interlude for Nicole Scherzinger introducing the girls for their solo parts.
  • On 28 January 2009 at London, England during the Bottle Pop Contest Robin Antin was a guest.
  • On March 11, 2009 "Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)" was added to the set list and they also re-arranged some of the songs.
  • On March 23, 2009 The Pussycat Dolls did not perform due to Nicole Scherzinger being sick.[6]
  • On May 5, 2009 Girlicious performed instead of The Pussycat Dolls. Their final official show of this tour was May 3, 2009.
  • On May 22, 2009 in Sydney Jessica Sutta broke her rib during the performance in Hush Hush; Hush Hush. She performed once more in the second show in Melbourne,[7] but fractured her rib completely.
  • During the show in Seoul, South Korea Melody Thornton injured her knee. She was only able to perform at few numbers with the Dolls, they re-scheduled the Taiwan show for 25 September, but then later cancelled it.
