Mirna Peč is a settlement and a municipality in southeastern Slovenia. It lies on the river Temenica in the traditional region of Lower Carniola. The municipality was created in 1999. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region. The settlement itself has just over 850 inhabitants with nearly 2800 in the entire municipality.^[2]

The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Cantius and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Novo Mesto. It was built in 1915 on the site of a 15th century predecessor.^[3]
