The Republic of Uzbekistan is a doubly landlocked[1] sovereign country located in Central Asia.[2] Uzbekistan borders Kazakhstan to the west and to the north, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to the east, and Afghanistan and Turkmenistan to the south.
