Location: 127 S. 2nd St., LeClaire, Iowa Coordinates: 41°35′48″N 90°20′41″W / 41.59667°N 90.34472°WCoordinates: 41°35′48″N 90°20′41″W / 41.59667°N 90.34472°W Built: 1851 Architectural style: Italianate Governing body: Private MPS: Houses of Mississippi River Men TR NRHP Reference#: 79003699 [1] Added to NRHP: April 13, 1979 The Dawley House is an historic property located in LeClaire, Iowa, United States, and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979.[1] The property is part of the Houses of Mississippi River Men Thematic Resource, which covers the homes of men from LeClaire who worked on the Mississippi River as riverboat captains, pilots, builders and owners.[2] The residence is a variation on the vernacular Italianate style. It is constructed of bricks that were manufactured locally, and the structure features clean proportaions and simple lines.[2]
