Chicago Cubs Radio Network

Chicago Cubs Radio Network

The Chicago Cubs Radio Network comprises 45 stations in eleven states.[1] It is a division of Tribune Broadcasting's Tribune Radio Network.

The Cubs' flagship station is WGN, 720 AM. Pat Hughes is the play-by-play announcer, with Keith Moreland serving as color commentator as of the 2011 season (replacing the late Ron Santo).[2] During Santo's life, the broadcasts were nicknamed the "Pat and Ron Show". Judd Sirott handles the Cubs Central pre- and post-game shows, and calls the fifth inning of each game.

All 162 regular season baseball games, some spring training games, and all postseason games are broadcast by the network, though not all affiliates distribute the entire slate.

The games are transmitted to stations via C-Band satellite service on AMC-8.

As the Tribune Radio Network, the network's non-sports programming includes National Farm Report, a farm news feature hosted by Orion Samuelson; Samuelson Sez (a weekly commentary hosted by Samuelson); and Farming America, a farm news feature hosted by Max Armstrong.
