Talk Radio Network

Talk Radio Network

Talk Radio Network (abbreviated TRN) is an American radio network.

The network, as the name implies, specializes in talk radio programming, with an emphasis on conservative talk on weekdays and variety/general interest talk radio on weekends. Some of the most recognizable personalities in American radio, such as Laura Ingraham and Michael Savage, are syndicated on Talk Radio Network.

The company's CEO is Mark Masters, son of talk show host Roy Masters. The company Fact|date=April 2007began offering its syndicated programs in 1993.

Programming

Talk Radio Network's programming is arranged in the format of a 24-hour network, such that the programming rarely overlaps, with the programming split up among three satellites. Aside from encores, almost all of TRN's programs air live.

TRN's weekday programs are mostly distributed individually as opposed to a straight network. As such, shows like Dr. Laura Ingraham and Michael Savage are heard on hundreds of stations by millions of listeners, while the network's other offerings, such as Tammy Bruce's weekday show, air on considerably fewer. TRN's weekend programming is mostly syndicated as a large block.

In April 2007, Talk Radio Network debuted its first short form program, a daily commentary hosted by Dick Morris.

Much of TRN's programming can be heard on CRN Digital Talk Radio Networks, on CRN4 (Ingraham's show is heard instead on CRN2 due to conflict with Mancow).
