  • American Legion Memorial Freeway, most of I-75 in the northern Lower Peninsula, roughly from Saginaw to the Otsego –Cheboygan county line (see G. Mennen Williams Freeway below)
  • Brighton–Farmington Freeway, I-96/M-5 Brighton to Farmington; no longer named as such.
  • Prentiss M. Brown Freeway, I-75 in Mackinac County.
  • Walter P. Chrysler Freeway, I-75, I-375, 1.2 miles (1.9 km); Downtown Detroit to northern Oakland County.
  • Christopher Columbus Freeway, M-53 Sterling Heights to Washington Township; sometimes referred to as the "Van Dyke Expressway" by locals.
  • Davison Freeway, M-8
  • Detroit–Toledo Freeway, I-75 Ohio border to Woodhaven
  • Detroit Industrial Freeway, I-94 Western Wayne County.
  • Fenton–Clio Freeway, US 23 Livingston–Genesee county border to Birch Run; no longer named as such.
  • Fisher Freeway, I-75 Woodhaven to Gratiot Avenue in Detroit.
  • Edsel Ford Freeway, I-94 Detroit
  • Gerald R. Ford Freeway, I-196 Grand Rapids
  • Jeffries Freeway, I-96 Livonia to downtown Detroit.
  • John C. Lodge Freeway, M-10 I-696/US-24 interchange in Southfield to downtown Detroit
  • Paul B. Henry Freeway, M-6, I-196 to I-96 south of Grand Rapids
  • Ransom E. Olds Freeway, I-496 through Lansing.
  • Walter P. Reuther Freeway, I-696 Novi to St. Clair Shores.
  • Southfield Freeway, M-39; M-10 to I-94.
  • St. Joseph Valley Parkway, US 31 south of I-196 going southerly toward the Indiana state border. It is not connected to any other freeway segment in Michigan except by the Indiana Toll Road to another freeway that feeds into Michigan. It has been under study for decades and will be connected to the other freeways in Michigan by approximately 2015.
  • Sojourner Truth Downtown Parkway, I-194 from I-94 into downtown Battle Creek; typically called the Penetrator by locals
  • UAW Freeway, I-475 through Flint, commemorating Flint's role in the creation of the UAW.
  • G. Mennen Williams Freeway, I-75 in Cheboygan County.

Interstates

Others by highway number

  • M-5 is a freeway from the I-275/I-96/I-696 junction to Grand River Avenue west-northwest of Middlebelt Road. This portion used to be part of I-96; and the part where M-5 continues east used to be BS I-96. However, between the timeframe of the current designations and the latter designations; this freeway portion used to be M-102.
  • M-10 (see above)
  • US 12 (see below)
  • CONN M-13 is a freeway that goes from I-75 north of US 10's eastern terminus and Kawkawlin. This used to be part of US-23 until the late 1960s, then for a short time became ALT US-23, but was rejected since ALT routes were not allowed in Michigan, and then renamed to a "connector" designation.
  • M-14 is a freeway from the southern I-275/I-96 junction in Livonia to I-94 west of Ann Arbor
  • US 23 is a freeway from the state line to Standish. It runs concurrent with I-75 between south of Flint to the east-west stub of freeway that connects I-75 to M-13's northern terminus.
  • US 31 is a freeway in 3 portions:
  • M-37 runs concurrent with I-96 near Grand Rapids, Michigan, and turns into an expressway north of it (see below).
  • M-39 (see above)
  • M-47 for 4.5 miles (7.2 km) from Midland road near Freeland to its northern terminus.
  • M-59 freeway from Pontiac to Utica
  • M-60 is a freeway from its eastern terminus to approx. 5 miles (8.0 km) south of it.
  • US 131 is a freeway from Schoolcraft to north of Manton.
