Cessnock is an area of Glasgow, Scotland located south of the River Clyde. Cessnock's main street is Paisley Road West, this road leads down to Paisley.

Transport

This area is served by Cessnock subway station on the Glasgow Subway. Many buses also stop on Paisley Road West, Including First Glasgow's number 9 service. Also Dumbreck railway station can be reached using a footbridge to cross the M8. Exhibition Centre railway station can be reached from Cessnock by following the route to the SECC although this is quite a lengthy walk.

Walmer Crescent, a curved tenement building designed by one of Glasgow's most famous architects Alexander 'Greek' Thomson is situated within the suburb of Cessnock.

The new BBC Scotland headquarters, designed by David Chipperfield are located 10 minutes from Cessnock on the banks of the River Clyde.

House for an Art Lover designed by another famous Glasgow architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh is situated in Bellahouston Park on the southern boundary of Cessnock.
