The remnant park is part of the Chicago Park District, and contains a small golf course and a lagoon. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark on July 31, 2003.[2]
It is considered one of "150 great places in Illinois" by the American Institute of Architects.[3]
