Orinda Village is an unincorporated community^[1] in Contra Costa County, California.^[1] It is located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) northwest of Orinda,^[2] at an elevation of 486 feet (148 m).^[1]

Prior to a massive redevelopment of the downtown area, there was an art deco theatre { http://lamorindatheatres.com/index_orinda.asp } . Once redeveloped, the Orinda Theatre Square was vastly improved with downtown shops and the theatre was divided up into mini-theatres thus creating a better revenue stream for the owners.
