Noorpur is a city and a municipal board in Bijnor district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It has Muslim, Sikh and Rajput pupulation. Khalsa Inter College was established by the Sikhs in the 1950s. There is a main education center of Muslim is Ashraf Zakariya Islamiyan Inter College.

Demographics

As of 2001, according to the census of India,[1] Noorpur had a population of 33,580. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Noorpur has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 64%, and female literacy is 48%. In Noorpur, 22% of the population is under 6 years of age. Noorpur is connected by the SH-76 by Mooradabad and also connected by SH-77 by NH-24. The distance of Noorpur from Delhi is 160 km. The distance of NH-74 is 19 km. NH-74 connect by Noorpur, Dhampur link road.
