Burkeville, California

Burkeville (also, Milltown and Millville) is a former settlement in Kern County, California.[1] It was located 0.5 miles (0.8 km) north of Quartzburg.[1] Burkeville began as a mining camp and was named for Edwin Burke, co-owner of the Big Blue Mine.[1]
