Nawabganj (Bengali: নবাবগঞ্জ) is an Upazila of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Geography

Nawabganj is located at 23°40′00″N 90°10′00″E / 23.6667°N 90.1667°E / 23.6667; 90.1667 . It has 47411 units of house hold and total area 244.81 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Nawabganj has a population of 269189. Males constitute are 49.31% of the population, and females 50.69%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 134813. Nawabganj has an average literacy rate of 34.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.^[1]
