Nagarpur (Bengali: নাগরপুর) is an Upazila of Tangail District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Geography

Nagarpur is located at 24°03′00″N 89°52′30″E / 24.0500°N 89.8750°E / 24.0500; 89.8750 . It has 44858 units of house hold and total area 262.7 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Nagarpur has a population of 238422. Males constitute are 49.47% of the population, and females 50.53%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 121735. Nagarpur has an average literacy rate of 27.4% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.^[1]
