Riley MartinClass Satellite Radio Station Owner Sirius XM Radio Website sirius.com/Howard101 Howard 100 and Howard 101 are two uncensored channels on Sirius XM, a satellite radio service that broadcasts programming affiliated with Howard Stern and The Howard Stern Show. Though the channels were first broadcast on September 29, 2005, Stern could not officially broadcast until January 1, 2006, as Stern was still at WXRK, the terrestrial radio station where he had to finish his FM radio contract.

Pre-launch history
Prior to January 2004, Sirius channel 100 was "Sirius Sessions", a channel devoted to live musical performances. Before the channels officially became "Howard 100" and "Howard 101", they had some pre-launch programming in late 2005. It also went through a series of different names.
Douche 100
On September 29, 2005, channels 100 and 101 went live, initially being named "Howard Stern 100" and "Howard Stern 2" respectively. During this time, most of the channels' air time was dead air and the sound of a ground loop hum. It was not until October 6 when the "24-Hour Fartathon" began to broadcast at 6:00am, featuring live, non-stop farts. Stern, while broadcasting his show on terrestrial radio, was not allowed to broadcast the Sirius signal. During this time, jingles were made for the channels with announces for "Douche 100" and "Douche 101".
Howard Stern 100
After the Fartathon, channel 100 briefly changed its name from "Douche 100" to "Howard Stern 100" (and 101). Like Douche 100, it did not have much programming and featured the sound of a ground loop hum or natural sound of the sometimes occupied studio. While Stern was still broadcasting on terrestrial radio, he and his show staff came up with a few 24-hour specials.
Shows on Howard Stern 100
- "24 Hours With Wendy the Retard": A 24-hour show following a day in the life of Wendy the Retard, a member of the Stern show's Wack Pack.
- "The Craptacular I": A 24-hour show where show Wack Packer High Pitch Eric was given anything he wanted to eat, and had to weigh his bowel movements.
Howard 100
When the Howard 100 News first went on the air, the official channel names "Howard 100" and "Howard 101" were revealed.
Pre-launch shows on Howard 100 and Howard 101
- "Howard 100 News": Then a once daily Stern-related newscast
- "Superfan Roundtable": A weekly discussion show for Stern fans, then hosted by Jon Hein
- "The Red Peters Comedy Music Hour": A musical comedy countdown hosted by Red Peters
- "Tissue Time with Heidi Cortez": Featuring Playboy Playmate Heidi Cortez reading erotic bed time stories
- "Tissue Time with Blue Iris": A spin-off from "Tissue Time with Heidi Cortez", with Blue Iris, then a 65 year old porn star
- "The Crack Whore View": A parody version of The View where real crack whores gave their points of view on a variety of issues
- "Sirius for Dummies": Helping new users get their Sirius radios configured
- "Meet the Sterns": A call-in show featuring Stern's parents Ben and Raye, then hosted by George Flowers
- "Meet the Shrink": Which performed psychoanalysis on Wack Pack members and frequent guests, originally hosted by Dr. Ellen McGrath; after only a few shows she was replaced by Dr. Leslie Armstrong, who died on May 22, 2007.
Howard 100 and Howard 101 schedule
Stern was originally allowed three channels on Sirius, with the third channel (presumably channel 102) still available to Stern should he wish to have one, although Stern has full programming rights for 100 and 101. Before Stern's first official broadcast on January 9, 2006 both channels carried the same signal, with Howard 101 broadcasting its own programming on January 9. On March 14, 2006 channel 102 became "Sirius Stars".
Both Howard 100 and 101 are available to all Sirius XM subscribers and can also be heard worldwide via streaming audio at Sirius Internet Radio. Following the merger of Sirius and XM on September 30, 2008 both channels became part of the "Best of Sirius" package, allowing previous XM Satellite Radio listeners to access 100 and 101.
Note: As of January 3, 2011, the Bubba the Love Sponge Show has been canceled due to unsuccessful contract negotiations. Bubba has left Sirius XM and is now broadcasting his show online with radio company RadioIO as well on FM though Cox Radio.

Canceled programming
- The Friday Show: The Friday Show took the place of the Howard Stern Show when Stern was off on Fridays. Gary Dell'Abate and Jon Hein played popular clips of past shows. It was later replaced by Master Tape Theatre which plays entire uncensored shows from the WNBC and K-Rock eras. Now those have been replaced with the Best Of Friday show where they replay clips of the Monday through Thursday shows as a best of the week segment.
- Tissue Time with Heidi Cortez: Model Heidi Cortez read erotic bedtime stories. It originally started as a full hour show while Stern was on terrestrial radio. Heidi took live phone calls and read stories. The show was then moved around to various time slots. When the channels officially launched it was moved to a five-minute story show at midnight and four in the morning. Later it was dropped.
- The Crack Whore View, a parody version of The View wherein real crack whores showcased their points of view on a variety of issues. Originally aired while Stern was on terrestrial radio. Stern recently said that if they would ever put the show back on they needed to find better crack whores with more wacky views. Specifically he said: “if they can show up on time what kind of crack whores are they?”
- Meet the Sterns, a call-in show featuring Stern's parents. Stern wanted the show to continue, but Stern’s parents said they are retired and don’t want to start a job again.
- Drunk Scores Girls Roundtable, hosted by drunk Scores girls. Stern and cast hated the original show.
- Meet the Shrink, in which mental health counselor Leslie Armstrong performed psychoanalysis on Wack Pack members and frequent show guests. Armstrong died on May 22, 2007.[2][3]
- Bubba the Love Sponge Show, canceled due to failed contract negotiations. Bubba has left Sirius and is now broadcasting On RadioIO and on Cox Radio FM Stations.
