Architectural style: Romanesque Governing body: Local NRHP Reference#: 80001852[1] Significant dates Added to NRHP: May 15, 1980 Designated MSHS: November 7, 1977[2] The Dickinson County Courthouse and Jail built in 1896 is an historic complex of governmental buildings located at 700 South Stephenson Avenue in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Also known as the Dickinson County Courthouse and Jail Complex, it was designed by architect James E. Clancy of Antigo, Wisconsin, a former Iron Mountain resident, in the Romanesque style and built by E.E. Grip & Co. of rock faced red brick and trimmed with sandstone.[1][3]
On May 15, 1980, the complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places.[1]
