Website Chennai District website Choolaimedu (Tamil: சூளைமேடு) is a large residential commercial locality in Chennai, India. It borders Kodambakkam, Vadapalani, M.M.D.A.Colony, Aminjikarai, Mahalingapuram and Nungambakkam. Previously a part of Puliyur village, Choolaimedu has now become a hub for commercial interests and connects two of the busiest routes in Chennai, namely Arcot Road and Nelson Manickam Road.
Nungambakkam railway station lies closest to Choolaimedu. Choolaimedu is closer to prestigious institutions like SRM University, Loyola College, Chennai, Pachayappa's College, Meenakshi Engineering College & Panimalar Polytechnic. Choolaimedu is undergoing expansive development with new super malls from AMPAA Constructions. Owing to its proximity to transport facilities and the commercial hub of Chennai - T.
