Dortch Plantation, also known as William P. Dortch House or Marlsgate, is located near Scott, Arkansas. A portion of the current site, with building built in 1904, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The NRHP listing was increased in 1979 to cover additional building(s) dating from 1880.[1]

Referred to locally as Marlsgate Plantation, the home was purchased in 1985 by David P. Garner Jr. A Little Rock florist, caterer and interior designer. Mr. Garner restored the property which had been neglected for several years, and furnished it with his personal collection of antiquities. Marlsgate has since been used to host weddings, tour groups, private and corporate functions and many other events using Mr. Garner's floral, catering, and event planning services.
