It is located on Williams Street in the College Hill Historic District, also an NHL, to which it is a contributing property.
The house was built in 1812, and is an example of an original large brick Adamesque-Federal style town house. It has a 2-story porch with "super-imposed Corinthian and Ionic iron columns."[2] It was designated a Landmark on December 30, 1970.
