It lies 1½ miles from Coagh, 3½ miles from Cookstown,[2] 4 miles from Moneymore, and 5 miles from Stewartstown. Most of the village is on the Stewartstown to Moneymore road.
Drummullan is home to Derry GAA club CLG Ógra Colmcille.
Its most famous son is Charles Byrne, known as the 'Irish Giant', who lived during the 1770s in Littlebridge and moved to England at the age of 21. He was 7'7". He died in London and his skeleton is on display in the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
