Killaloo (Irish: Cill Dhalua; meaning "Dalua's church") is a
townland inCounty Londonderry ,Northern Ireland , about six miles south east ofDerry , on the main Derry toBelfast road. In the 2001 Census Killaloo had a population of seventy-five people. It is situated in theDerry City Council area.The nearest shops and amenities are available in the village of
Claudy .Places of interest
* The ruins of
Brackfield Bawn are directly adjacent to the road. Originally built by Sir Edward Doddington of the Skinners Company in the 17th century, the Bawn played a defensive role for the Skinners land until it was abandoned at the turn of the 18th century. All that remains is the wall and flankers of the original building.* Next to the ruins stands the impressive structure of the Lower Cumber Presbyterian Church, a traditional Barn Church.
* The Ness Woods country park is popular during summer months.
