According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 269 people, 110 households, and 75 families residing in the village. The population density was 2,231.5 people per square mile (865.5/km²). There were 117 housing units at an average density of 970.6 per square mile (376.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.51% White, 0.37% Native American, 0.37% Asian, and 0.74% from two or more races.
There were 110 households out of which 30.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.3% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.8% were non-families. 28.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 3.05.
In the village the population was spread out with 28.3% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 24.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.1 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $35,781, and the median income for a family was $45,357. Males had a median income of $36,875 versus $22,031 for females. The per capita income for the village was $16,766. About 2.3% of families and 2.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.8% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those sixty five or over.
