1Dragon Quest was known as Dragon Warrior in North America due to a trademark conflict. It wasn't until the sixth generation, and the release of Dragon Quest VIII that Square-Enix (formerly Enix) was able to release games in the series with their original names.

2 Nintendo Wars debuted on the Famicom in Japan as Famicom Wars during the third generation era. It was introduced to international markets on the Game Boy Advance during the sixth generation era, where it was marketed as Advance Wars.
