"Tak and the Power of Juju" is a video game for PlayStation 2, GameCube, and the Game Boy Advance. The game spawned two sequels: ' and '. All three were created by Avalanche Software for THQ.

The game was developed under the aegis of the Nickelodeon television channel, a precedent at the time because the game was not based on any of its then existing shows or films.

The series is populated with characters such as the Belly Juju, who always speaks from the gut, to the unintelligible Jibba-Jabbas and the Grammazons of the latest installment.

A long time ago, a shaman predicted that one day, disaster would come to the people of the Pupanunu village, and the Moon Juju would be captured by the evil Tlaloc. He also predicted that a warrior would save the people. Jibolba, an older shaman, had prepared for the day of disaster, and took a man named Lok as his apprentice.

Then one day, the disaster came, and all of the Pupanunu people were turned to sheep, with the exception of Lok, Jibobla, and a younger apprentice named Tak. Lok, however, did not last long in the village of sheep, and was one day trampled in an attempt to calm the animals down. Even though all hope seemed lost, Tak set out to find a way to revive Lok, so he could save the people from Tlaloc.

So Tak embarked on the most dangerous journey of his life, performing every deed the prophecy told him to do, so he could bring life back into the soul of Lok. He eventually found a way: bring him back from the Spirit World. Tak ventured into the Spirit World and brought the spirit to Jibolba, who magically restored Lok back to his own self. But Lok could not fight, as the effects of the spell causes extreme stomach pain and diarrhea. All hope seemed lost, until the Moon Juju appeared to Tak and Jibolba, saying that Tak was the true warrior of prophecy. Tak had completed everything the prophecy had predicted. All that was left was to save the Juju and restore peace to the people. Tak succeeded in this quest, and the Pupanunu village was human once again.

The gameplay mostly consists of obstacles, puzzles and a colorful platformer. Like most action/adventure video games, the player can jump and attack, The player has a health-meter represented by the feather on Tak's head. One unique feature is the ability to interact with and get past obstacles with the help of animals.

Orangutans: can bend trees that spring back so that Tak can travel distances that he couldn't reach on feet. Rhinos: can smash through obstacles with Tak on back. Monkeys: throw coconuts at the nearest target when angered. Emus: are mobile like rhinos and jump and flap short distances. Sheep: can open doors and activate elevators by running on conveyor belts.

When Tak receives his Spirit Rattle, he is allowed Juju Powers that need to be collected. There are different effects for each one. Such as: Restoration Dance restores Tak to full health. Tak needs to collect feathers to restore his mana. Collecting feathers is a priority in each level and can do multiple things, like restore health or mana. Besides feathers, other collectables are essential for missions, such as tikis that can sommon Juju spirits.
