- List of World Heritage Sites in Europe
This is a list of the UNESCO
World Heritage Sites inEurope .Asia Minor ,Cyprus , all of theAegean Islands , the Canaries andMadeira are included although the first two and some of the third are geographically located inAsia whereas the latter two are inAfrica .Turkey , Georgia,Azerbaijan ,Armenia and theCaucasian andSiberian parts ofRussia are included both in this list and in the list of sites inAsia . Overseas sites of theNetherlands ,UK andDenmark are included here, but are also repeated in the geographically relevant lists.Kazakhstan , despite having a small portion lying in Europe is to be found under Asia, where both its world heritage sites are listed.Sites marked with an asterisk (*) are also included on the
