Washington, D.C., United StatesWebsite www.ilovepasta.org The National Pasta Association (NPA) is a trade association of professionals in the United States pasta industry.[3] The NPA formed as the National Macaroni Manufacturers Association in 1904, making it one of the oldest trade associations in the United States. In 1981, its name changed to the National Pasta Association. The NPA developed and successfully lobbied for anti-dumping regulation in the late 1990s to ensure fair trade of pasta in the United States. The NPA publishes the Pasta Journal, formerly the Macaroni Journal.
Mission statement
- To increase the consumption of pasta;
- to promote the development of sound public policy and;
- act as a center of knowledge for the industry.
