Mataura was a parliamentary electorate in the Southland Region of New Zealand, from 1866 to 1946.

Mataura was located in the rural Southland Region.[1]
History
Mataura was first established for the 1866 general election. The first representative was Dillon Bell from 1866 until the dissolution of parliament in December 1875.[2]
- William Wood from 1876 to 1878
- James Shanks from 1879 to 1881
- Francis Wallace Mackenzie from 1881 to 1884
- George Richardson from 1884 to 1893 & 1896 to 1898
- Robert McNab from 1893 to 1896 and 1898 to 1908
- George James Anderson from 1908 to 1928
- David McDougall from 1928 to 1938
- Thomas Lachlan MacDonald (National) from 1938 to 1946.
