Mataura (New Zealand electorate)

Mataura was a parliamentary electorate in the Southland Region of New Zealand, from 1866 to 1946.

History

Mataura was first established for the 1866 general election. The first representative was Dillon Bell from 1866 until the dissolution of parliament in December 1875.^[2]

• George Richardson from 1884 to 1893 & 1896 to 1898

• Thomas Lachlan MacDonald (National) from 1938 to 1946.
