Maramarua

Maramarua is a former New Zealand Parliamentary electorate, from 1987 to 1993.

Contents

History

The electorate was renamed from Franklin in the 1987 election, but was renamed back to "Franklin" in 1993. In the 1996 election with MMP it was incorporated into the new Port Waikato electorate.

From 1972 to 1999 the electorate (though called various names) was represented by Bill Birch.
