Rakaia is a New Zealand Parliamentary electorate.

The electorate includes the following population centres:

History

Due to boundary changes for the 2008 general election, the Rakaia seat will cease to exist. Its population centres will be redistributed among the new seats of Rangitata and Selwyn.

Selwyn is expected to be a safe National seat.
