History
Dudley Hill had its own railway station although it is closed now.
In 1911 Britain's first trolleybus service commenced operation between Laisterdyke and Dudley Hill.[1][2] The service stopped in 1972,[1] the last trolleybus service in the UK.
Village information and business
It contains a range of public services, with one primary schools and a High school which is situated on Tong Street, a police station, call centre and a medical centre. A wide range of independently owned shops are situated on a Street with a pub to entertain locals including: supermarkets Iceland, Wynsors World of Shoes, Poundstretcher, Pet City, Superdrug and Gala Bingo, a range of takeaways.
