Oquaga Creek State Park

Oquaga Creek State Park is a state park at the border of Delaware County and Chenango County in New York in the USA. The park is partially in the Town of Masonville and partly in the Town of Sanford.

Broome County Road 241 passes through the park.

The Oquaga Creek passes through the park and eventually empties into the West Branch of the Delaware River, near Deposit.

Oquaga Creek State Park has 95 campsites and 1 cottage. There are 6 miles (9.7 km) of hiking trails where you can see wildlife such as deer, various weasels, birds, etc. and wild plants such as Wild Blueberries and Wild Grapes and many of the campsites are lined with raspberry bushes and Wild Strawberries.

Arctic Lake, with a surface area of 55 acres (220,000 m2), is available for fishing, and its beach is open to swimmers. In the winter, the lake is used for ice fishing and skating.

Due to New York States fiscal crisis, the park was closed for camping for the 2010 season. As of Summer 2011 the park was back open for camping. See park web site for details including seasonal sites.
