Seneca Lake State Park is located in
Seneca County, New York in theUSA . The park is at the north end of Seneca Lake, one of theFinger Lakes . The park is south of and between Geneva and Waterloo.On
August 1 2005 , the park closed its "Sprayground"water park after theparasite Cryptosporidium was discovered in the tanks supplying the attraction. As ofSeptember 1 , over 3,800 people reported symptoms ofcryptosporidiosis , a gastrointestinal illness caused by the parasite [http://www.health.state.ny.us/press/releases/2005/2005-09-01_school_precautions_seneca_lake_release.htm] .
