He received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Florida in Journalism, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida as well. While at the University of Florida Dean served as Student Body President and was named to Florida Blue Key. He currently resides in Winter Park, Florida with his family. The Orlando Sentinel named Cannon the 5th most powerful person in Central Florida.[1]
Representative Cannon is the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives in 2010.
